Sensible Solutions and one of their partner companies has developed a new version of Sensible Solutions forest fire alarm systems. The new system comprise battery assisted sensors with life time well over 3 years. The sensors are capable of transmitting alarm signals for several kilometers in an open terrain several hundred meters in a dense terrain. Sensors are light weight, camouflaged and are very quickly deplyed by hand. Alarm signals are received by strategically placed Gateways, relaying alarm data over the public mobile phone network, WiMAX or Satellite.
